Back TO basic
Yoga means to yoke. It also means bind, unite and commune. To me, this translates into community. Community is vital to a healthy and happy life.
My biggest thrill, in offering retreats, is in creating a community... Creating community during and long after the retreat trip.I LOVE bringing people together!
to discover something new about themselves or a place or to unearth something long buried that needed to be rediscovered.
And I love knowing that people have made lifelong connections after attending my retreats!
That's just good all around!
It's in going somewhere new, different and even far away - out of our routine - that we are able let our guard down and enjoy all that the place, culture and fellow participants have to offer - no matter how different.
We connect better to ourselves for sure, but we also connect better to nature, land and others. We inevitably grow our patience, compassion and thus community for it!
My retreats explore the uniquely indigenous traits of a country and our retreat home and invite participants to partake in activities and yoga on and off the mat. When we let our guard down and open up this way we delve deeper and get back to the basics. The basics ways in which human beings are meant to connect.
Seeing how others to do things and learning from them can inspire us.
