Back
TO Basics
I lead adventure yoga retreats that hope to get us Back to Basics. Back to the basics of movement and breath within a challenging and relaxing yoga practice. Back to the basics of clean living, with good food and drink. Back to the basics of nature, under blue skies, near places to trek on and with open air to breathe. Back to the basics of joyful connection, as you commune with likeminded people (sangha) where you can share stories, laugh, rest up, relax and let go! My retreats explore the indigenous qualities of the country and environment while carving out space to practice yoga on and off the mat.
Every retreat is different, every place is unique and every group is special. I aim to bring people together to create a retreat that is fun-filled, healthy, restful, communal and diverse, by providing experiences outside of the asana practice. These experiences compliment our yoga classes, while offering retreaters ample space to reflect, rest and rejuvenate.
Retreaters will partake in two yoga practices and receive three healthy meals a day, while staying in dreamy accommodations. A daily schedule is offered so that retreaters can surrender the planning of their day! The schedule reflects the place and pace of our retreat home while offering extra-curricualr activities that explore the indigenous qualities of where we have retreated to. Activities may include silent walks, group hikes, swimming, workshops, cooking lessons, historical visits, farming, crafting and so much more! All activities are meant to take our yoga off the mat through the practice of mindfulness. Within the day, there is plenty of opportunity to escape and be on your own, in a private nook or on a walk. There’s also the chance to commune with others - retreaters, staff and locals. Nothing is mandatory. Everything is optional. Though it's hoped you’ll always make it to your mat, even if it’s just for a sweet savasana! 'til soon, Simonee |
